Thank you for the help dave

I was thinking there should be some room for expansion of the oil to take into account the volume of the piston rod when it is fully collapsed or you would end up with a hydraulic lock. As far as the oil I haven't bought any yet I have to get some oil for the forks and the rear shocks so i will use whatever weight they take. Do you know what weight everyone is using in the forks and shocks? dave
You are right on that, everyone has there own idea on oil wt. I have rebuilt a lot of snowmobile shocks and changing oil wt makes a big difference in dampening if you leave the valving the same. I won't be moto crossing with this thing so i would think a oil heavy enough to keep the front end from nose diving when you hit the brakes will work just fine.
dave
They will do that a Little.
Ya can remove the drain bolts then fill with new oil. What books or other data have ya gathered? ...........lm
