handlebar lockhandlebar lockok i looked at the parts manual and couldn't find anything on the handlebar lock?
> when i put the key in the lock the whole lock moves deep in the frame and its hard to get back out > i can even take it completely out of the frame, it is missing the cover but i have one on a spare bike that i can take off > what is supposed to hold it in place? > shouldn't it just turn and not be pushed in? > tks, lou
Re: handlebar lockIt won't turn until ya push it in.
(a spring pushes it out) Ya push it in so it is in the lock slot and ya turn it to keep it at the in location. The chrome cap/cover holds it in the triple clamp. Take a good look at the parts/area and ya will see it is very simple. .............lm
Steering lockDepends on which model you have. CL shows the steering lock on the "Steering Stem Fonrt Fender" page. CA show the lock on the "Wiring Harness Battery" page.
LM has described it really well, but they do have different parts, depending on the bike. sorry about that, i have a ca77 and i looked at the parts manual on the wiring harness battery page and it shows the lock and lock cover
> umm maybe i just panicked when the switch went so far in the frame and then came out? > thanks i'll just grease up the lock and up put it back in along with the cover > sorry again for the bother, lou
It is APX. 1/8 inch X 1/2 inch and fits to that short round post.
As my parts book shows this assy. was part of the Ign/Lock kit ya never were able to order this assy. ..............lm
