Piston Carbon - Under Crown

Hi,

The oil splashed underneath the piston keeps the piston inside top cool.
If oil is burned to carbon there, it is getting too hot.

Two (or actually three) things can cause that :

-The mixture is too lean, the engine is getting to hot, so does the inside era of the piston and small ends.
- The piston is not cooled down by the oil enough, piston is getting to hot, etc.
- The quality of the oil is low, or /and isn't changed regularly.

Carbon depositors on top of the piston, and cvalves etc. is due to above the piston.

Ok, that pretty much answers it. I think I'll try to clean out the inside of the pistons as well as I can and when I have the motor back up and running I'll keep a close watch on the plugs.
