odd shift fork wear

is this bad?

I cant imagine what caused this, but the both have some wear in the same spot. I don't read any warp in the shaft, any nothing has turned blue.. its all so mysterious.

so, these forks are usable and there is nothing specifically wrong with my transmission because of this?

Yep. Most of them look like that when ya remove them. The problem with them is when those small contact pads at the end wear away. I don't see much of that with your part. I can't address the rest of the trans as for being OK to use. ............lm
