Dismantling CB77 forks - aluminium

I wanted to check out the front forks on my CB77 project which has the later model aluminium forks. please can someone advise on how do you remove the chrome seal holders on these forks?
Are they a screw fitting like the earlier ones?

They slide/slip onto the top of the slider.
No threads or clips.
I carefully using soft material tap on the thin edge to remove them.
Sometimes they get damaged. .................lm

After quite a lot of effort I have managed to remove the sleeves though one has suffered some slight damage.

Next questions, what is the best way to remove the seals?

I also wondered if the insert inside the chrome sleeve can be removed / pushed out or is it fixed in some way? The reason being is that if I could turn the sleeve upside down the slight damage would not be visible?
