Unless I missed something, a 1966 CL77, very nice, but not perfect, just sold for $22,700 on eBay. Hard to believe. JWB

I have my doubts about the 22,000 bike on ebay

Something does not feel right on this deal. He kept the auction private, I smell a rat. No one is going to pay that kind of money for that bike. You could buy four at that price just like it.

I agree, chances are pretty good it was a hoax, or the buyer was a complete idiot. JWB

Ebay has recently decided that all vehicle bids over a certain amount (not exactly sure how much that is) will remain private. Ebay substitues *** for the middle part of the bidders name.

This $22,000 Honda Scrambler has made it
to the status of "Urban Legend." It did not happen.

The below 1966 Honda 450 "Black Bomber"
was a 100 pt magnificent professional
restoration and was sold, at the January.
Mid America, Las Vegas auction, for $10,000.

This, (below), Honda 305 Scrambler supposedly is/was
New with only a couple of miles on it. Thankfully,
the fellows on this very site are of the opinion that
the seat on it is incorrect, a cable that was NOT routed
properly, (i.e. - the Tank was removed for some reason?),
replacement tires are on the bike, fenders sit too
high, etc, etc.

It is SO difficult not to be thinking with your HEART
when you just HAVE to have one of these bikes.
But .... we have to remember Buyer Beware and if a
deal on a bike, that we have not physically examined,
seems "Too Good to be True" ..... it probably is.
