Rims at David Silver Spares
Rims at David Silver SparesI have discovered that new rims for my CB77 will be much less expensive than re-plating. David Silver Spares is selling two rear rims:
https://www.davidsilverspares.com/CB77-305/part_190423 and https://www.davidsilverspares.com/CB77-305/part_292259. Has anyone had any experience with these? I know some have been disappointed to find that they have unknowingly purchased rims with incorrect spoke angles. Re: Rims at David Silver SparesTim
The second one appears to be very similar to the original rim. More expensive but likely to have the correct spoking pattern and will keep your bike looking authentic. I get rims polished and re-plated for about 100USD in England. G

I purchased the first rim that you listed a few years ago from David Silver. The spoke angles were not correct for a CB77 rear hub. Unfortunately, it had sat on the shelf for over a year before I tried to lace it up, so I did not approach DSS about it. I might be willing to try the second rim that you listed, though.
Re: Rims at David Silver SparesInteresting. The local shop quoted me C$400 for one rim and $150 for each fuel tank panel. I'll look around. If anyone knows of a good place somewhere in the Toronto to London (our London, not the original one) area I would love to hear about it. Tim
Thanks for that. You might try contacting DSS. I had to return something and they were very good about it. They even paid shipping. Tim Re: Rims at David Silver SparesTim
These are the ones I had recromed for my 1961 project. G
