Good evening everyone,
Could someone please look at the attached picture and tell me if I am missing a knock pin in the open port seen to the right of the cam chain. Looks like an oil port to me but want to make sure it is meant to remain open as shown.

That feeds oil from the oil pump into the the cross channel at the front of the barrel and thence to the top end and right crankshaft bearing.

No knock pin required but a good, flat gasket surface is essential on both crankcase and barrel.

Do you have the ones at the outside of each piston?. ...................lm
