CL77 Valve SeatsCL77 Valve SeatsI am looking for opinions on how to deal with the pitting on my left cylinder valve seats. The valves themselves are completely clear of any pitting as are the right valve seats. Will this amount of pitting be a compression problem? Thanks for the input!!

valves seats+1 what Nick said. that has worked well for me as well. A slight weep may be acceptable but a seep or leak is not.
Somewhere in these pages I seem to remember that you can not grind these valves much because of the way the valve is built. Any further info from others would be appreciated. Sorry but it has been a while since I've dealt with these matters. Rusty
Re: valves seatsI think that amount of pit in the actual seat face requires cutting new seat and cutting at the top area to acheive the proper width seat.
Usually the intake valve can have the face ground also the stem. Not so with the exhaust. The face is hardened and can't be ground. I do complete heads (all parts) for $125.00 plus any required parts. ...................lm
