Thanks seadog and e3steve. Once I get the bike up and running I'll take a second look at adding signals etc. Wiring is not my Forte but with your help I'm sure it could be done.

Seadog, I met a bike collector today who has 8 superhawks and a bunch of other honda bikes. Three are mint while the others are in various states of restoration but he had about 4 sets of mid height bars that your looking for. I ll call him tomorrow and see if he ll sell you one if you'd like.

Since this WTB post is over 1 year old, I thought I'd update it with the resolution. I purchased the handlebars shown in my 8th post, under the assumption that they were, indeed, genuine CB77 mid-rise bars. When they arrived, they were simply too bent to use. I didn't send them back because the switches, levers and throttle tube alone were worth what I paid for the bars. I went back to searching for new reproductions, looking at CB400 and CB750 bars. I settled on the optional low bars for the 1972 CB750. They arrived today. In the photos below, you'll see how they compare with the bent bars purchased earlier. They're a bit lower and wider, but the pre-drilled holes and knurling seem to match up. I wish they were the real McCoy, but that just wasn't in the cards. Time will tell how my back reacts to the lower rise.

You'd think a handlebar swap it a simple thing, but nothing ever turns out the way you've anticipated. "The best-laid plans of mice and men...." I had to cut ¾ inch from each handlebar end because the switches were too far from the end of the grips. The overall bar width is now the same as the stock bar. I also had to re-solder the starter switch wire because wire was exposed within the switch body, replace the horn wire in the other switch because it was too short and I'd pulled the male bullet connector off trying remove it and I replaced the sheathing on the wires for both switches. I've bought new screws for the switches, perch bolts, new levers and new cable adjusters. New early grips are installed (there's another story). My after-market winker switch is on, but it's at a slightly odd angle - there's just not enough room. I'll be searching for a Honda winker switch, although I think it's unlikely that I'll find one.

All-in-all, it seems to be coming together. Now to get the cables reconnected. It looks as if I might have to use a mix of low bar and mid-rise bar cables.

Thanks, G.

I'm using some mounts from Thailand. See https://www.ebay.com/itm/HONDA-305-Supe ... 1438.l2649

Do you have a spare winker switch in your bag of tricks?

I've been playing with the throttle cable. The mid-rise cable seems too long and the flat bar cable too short.
