CL77 ignition switch compatibility

Post by 180degree » Fri Oct 13, 2017 8:19 am

I had a question regarding the ignition switch for a CL77. Would it be possible to make a switch from a CB77 work on a scrambler? As far as I can see they look about the same but didn't know if there was something I'm missing.

The outer dimension and retainer ring size and smaller on the CB units. It could be made to fit...........but I would sell what you have and get the correct unit....similar value and what you have does not match the fork lock.

Thanks for the information, I took my CL77 ignition switch out yesterday and compared them and I see what you are describing. I think I'll go with your advice and try to look for the correct ignition switch. I took some pictures of the switch and fork lock that I have and I'll post it here in case anyone is interested in it.
