Jack stand support

Post by akpasta » Mon Oct 09, 2017 12:53 pm

Hey folks,

I'm removing my wheels and want to put the bike upon a jack stand. Is it safe to put the center stand on a 2x4 and put a jack stand under the starter motor? See picture here.

Thank you!

The 2x4 is fine but not the jack, you'll end up taking off more than the wheels.

Pasta, I put a 2x4 under my stand and strap the handle bars to a rafter. D

I do this too, works very well. Four ratchet straps and your completely off the ground in little time and safely suspended.
