Okay so I've searched this forum, youtube and Google for the answers as to how to remove the starter clutch from my 1966 Dream. I don't want to disassemble anything that I don't have to. Long story short is my starter spins when I depress the starter button. I bought the rebuild kit and I have a pretty good idea how to fix the clutch and get the clutch out with an M16x1.5 bolt. Any tricks of the trade would be greatly appreciated. When I do the job I'll try and get the video on youtube to help other folks in my situation. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Have you pulled the rotor?

Just remove the center bolt, insert the M16 bolt until it's tight then tap the end of the bolt.

The rotor will come off and the starter clutch is mounted on the back of it.

I have not pulled anything yet. Not sure if I have to remove the kick starter assembly and everything or just the one circular cover?

You will remove the LS cover so you can reinstall the parts you remove. ..............lm

I've rebuilt this one twice now. I get about two good starts then parts start sticking again.

I hope not to hijack Repsol, but I wonder if the collective could give advice on getting these little pistons unstuck. Could it be spring length? The rebuild kit is great and all the parts are new except of course the main part of the clutch itself.
