Mufflers for Dream 305

Post by dreamneworleans » Sat May 27, 2017 11:35 am

Hi All. I have had the mufflers from Thailand on my Dream for about 3 years now and have been happy with them (see pic) Yesterday one fell off which I intend to weld and fix for now. But I am thinking about changing them. Just wanted to get some thoughts on what others have tried and liked. I do not intend to buy the expensive originals.. thanks for the input. [/img]

G'day dream neworleans

I like the look of the original mufflers so went for the Overlander mufflers. Being made in Australia, the freight cost was a lot less for me compared to you guys in the US. These are not cheap, but great quality and look good.

On the next bike I'm doing, I'll probably not go for genuine and maybe use something like those attached.

It really is personal choice and there are a whole range of photos out there of different Dreams with different mufflers fitted. I just rolled thru a whole heap and picked out what I liked and stored those for future reference.

Good luck and don't forget to share your results.

Aside from ebay, I know that classichondarestoration has mufflers for the honda 305.

Wouldn't change mine even for originals as they are stainless from Overlander.
