CL77 AND 72 HEAD AND CAMS

Post by thepunisher2007 » Sat Jan 21, 2017 6:39 am

Simple Question is are the the same.

I have a CL72 engine spare and wondered. Obvoiosly the bore is different on the barrel but the head and cams seem to be the same are they or any of the componant parts ie valves etc... interchangable?

Cheers

All the moving and mounting parts are the same/interchangeable.
The difference is the combustion area.
The 250 has a full dome casting where the 305 has the edge rim machined down/into the dome a bit and is wider across.
That area requires a different head gasket as the dome area is larger for the 305. .................lm
