Steering lock CL77 removal

Post by Glenn-N » Thu Jan 12, 2017 11:59 am

My main key doens't fit on the steering lock on my CL77.
I want to install a new matching set but first a have to remove the steering lock...

Removed the cover cap, but any advice on how to remove the lock? There seems to be a small screw on the side of the steering lock, but I can only unbolt it for 1/4 and the screw seems very fragile so I'm afraid to ruin it.

Thanks,
G

If you don't have the key for the lock in the tripple clamp and have a replacement that matches your new switch I see no problem with damaging the one in the tripple clamp.
BTW the only way to remove the lock is to get rid of the small screw. ..............lm
