You may want to weld on some doublers (1/8" steel material, properly bent) to reinforce the bottom of the kickstand pads where they contact the ground. Lots longer life than provided by the stock material, and the additional height that's provided will help rear tire-to-ground clearance with whatever rear shock length and tire sizes you go with. I'll probably use the MotionPro 5mm vacuum fittings, just a tad larger tap diameter than your 10-32. Thanks, Chase
Thanks, Chase, some good suggestions.
I'm going w/stock tire sizes, probably Heidenau - Scrambler Cycle sells these. I don't know what mufflers I will use, so I welded a center stand stop onto the frame, adjustable, while I was repairing the center stand mounting hole locations - they were considerably elongated - made some bronze bushings and installed grease zerts while I was at it.

I guess I can put this in "Motors", since this has a 305 engine in it...
My wife found this on E-Bay for a Christmas gift for me. The kit is copyrighted 1966:

I think I'll build this one - I've so many in boxes now, mostly 1/72 aircraft, some cars, 11 ships in 1/350 scale, and an assortment of Guillows and Comet balsa/tissue aircraft, plus a 78" w/s DeHaviland DH9 Vampire under construction on my bench. My brother has about 400 cars in boxes - guess it runs in the family.....

At the RENO Air Races this year there was 2 De Havilland DH9 Vampire planes in the jet class.
The fastest of the 2 had a problem and bellied in short of the emergency landing strip. BIRD?
No one was hurt but as you can imagine there was damage to the plane. ...............lm
