CL77 front fender stay (top mount)

Post by Glenn-N » Sun Nov 27, 2016 2:56 pm

Managed to find these 2 in NOS condition, now I started attaching the bracket to the fender blade using the correct OEM bolts.

The 2 bolts that go on top don't have a welded-on nut to lock them in place...
I have 2 new Honda 5mm nuts but they don't fit, the wire thread seems to be different.

Anyone who has a correct part number or reference for the 5mm nuts?
Or any info about how the 2 bolts on top should be attached originally?

Seems like it's normal for new produced nuts and bolts not to fit.

Recently ordered many OEM nuts/bolts using the correct ref. number at CMSNL but already had some screws that don't fit, eg. taillight and headlight screws. Different thread.

I believe you wil find the nuts on the fender are JIS and if you got that thread bolt you are fortunate for sure.
If you have 2 more bolts of that thread you can get in touch with me as I have one of the fender plates with the JIS nuts. ..................lm

Thanks.

Problem solved.
I have the original NOS Honda JIS bolts, and ordered 2 JIS 5mm nuts on eBay.
