A few more small details finished. I made an arbor to restore roundness to carb inlet - one end of the tool is .007" smaller than the finish end [end w/ the smaller radius on cnrs]; It works well, using plenty of grease. When done, I OD bored the outside diameter for clean-up, may work up some sort of filtered velocity stacks. I also re-worked the exhaust clamps, as the holes in them would clear an 8mm bolt - too sloppy. I figured the spread on the 6mm exhaust studs and bored the holes to accept some bronze bushings I made; also restored the spot face on the clamps so that the bushing head would seat squarely. I painted the clamps with a hi-temp ceramic paint, then baked them in my wife's oven [while she was at work, of course!]. A;so have some carb parts ready for zinc plate - bought a Caswell plating system - this will eliminate numerous trips to platers, and can proceed at my own pace - will have pics of finished results.

I agree. But even if I can't do that stuff myself, it's fun to see others' accomplishments. As Muddy said - well done.

Hi Graham - the really fun part is seeing the project come together. I will be receiving my wheels from Buchanan Spoke and Rim next week, buying the Excel shouldered WM1 front, and the WM2 rear. These are made from 7000 series aluminum. I bought the 9 guage rear stainless spokes/nipples, the 10 for the front.
