Stuck Baffle Removal - SUCCESS!!!!

Post by stepper » Sat Jun 25, 2016 7:54 pm

Hey guys,
In the short few days that I have become a first time motorcycle owner, I have learned quite a bit from everybody here on the forum.

I just thought I would give back with a tip I came up with to remove a stuck baffle...

The baffle seemed to be bedded in pretty well so I used one of my tie-down straps to hook into the baffle behind the cross brace. The hook actually wedge itself into the baffle without even putting any leverage onto the brace. I then tied the other end of the strap to a 2x4 and just started swinging away! After a few seconds of underhand swinging, the baffle came out a centimeter or so. Shortly after that the whole thing just shot out with one final swing.

Hope this helps someone in the future :)
