Thank you, LM. I haven't developed an "ear" for the engine, so i'm always in doubt about the evenness of the sound. I'm going to fiddle with it a little bit more tomorrow, then take it for a ride. I've already put the tank back on. Afterward, I'll know more and I can check the plugs.

Feller your 2 statements are in conflict with knowing good or not so good.
Good luck. .......................lm

I respect your knowledge, but sometimes don't understand your comments. I'm sure it's a failing on my part, but could you explain the conflict of my statements?

Fabricated and zinc plated a bracket and installed a Kohler rectifier/voltage regulator using the old rectifier location. I made a new wiring harness for it, shrink wrapped it and sealed up the old wiring connectors in case I or a future owner want to put the old rectifier back.

A Sachse electronic ignition is on the way. I should be installing it next week.

I had a old Kisan volt/amp meter lying around and decided to temporarily install it to keep an eye on the new R/R's performance. I'll remove it ASAP.
