The tail light assembly on my 1964 CA77 has a nice crack and I want to remove it so I can weld on it. So how do you remove the entire assembly?
I can feel wires running along the inner fender up to the wiring harness under the distribution area cover, do I have to cut the connectors off the end to snake the wire out?
Tail light assembly removal
There isn't really an inner fender, just a partial channel welded in for the wiring. You should be able to pull both wires through without cutting them, but attach a string or thin wire so you can pull them back. If the wires are so stiff that you have trouble pulling them, unsolder the terminals rather than cut the wires. The wiring would be easier if the rear wheel was off, but not impossible.
Correct just a channel but this is exactly what I was thinking off, thanks for confirming. I'll unsolder and remove that way.
