Spark plug wire replacement

I was pushing in the spark plug cap and it just fell off the wire, my local Napa sells it by the foot and I'll have to do this exact mod.

Cut 1/4 in. from that end then twist the cap back on the wire. ...................lm

Yeah, that worked but I might just replace with new ones if it's a fairly easy job. New wires on a 52yr old bike can't hurt.

I caution you to get metal core and not the carbon core. ...............lm

Most of the current wire sets are carbon center rather than metal.
The cap and coil end requires metal center. ..................lm
