piston sleeve bore question 305

I bought a new set of pistons,rings, sleeves and wrist pins. what size do i tell the Machinist to bore my sleeves?( standard size pistons). +/- what?

What size rings did you buy? Standard? 10-over? 20-over? The bore diameter needs to match the rings.

Since you bough new sleeves I assume you bought standard rings so give the machinist the factory bore spec - should be in your service manual.

How are you planning on installing the sleeves.
I give the cylinder assy with the sleeves installed and the pistons and the clearance that is in the book to the shop. ....................lm

First, make sure sleeves are tight in cylinder ( .003 to .004" interference) then fit Pistons to bore with .002" clearance measuring at bottom of piston.
