CA77 Shift Shaft Spline size

Please continue to provide feedback you guys. I sure need it.

One of the best things you can do when asking for engine help on this forum is give your complete alpha-numeric engine number. Honda changed things on these engines and that is one thing that will help the forum help you. Also if someone is willing to help and asks for photos of your issue(s) it is nice to provide them or inform the forum member you are unable or don't know how to post photos.

Are the spline diameters different? Difficult to tell from the photograph

Yes G, they are, not much btw.
It seems that the spline profile is a little different, my shift lever does not fit on both.

Thanks. That presents a new dimension to the search for parts.....I have early and late Dream shift levers. Maybe that's another difference?

Your bike is not a 1961 but is a 1965+ bike.
Your shaft at the clutch cover looks good to me but the splines look stripped to me.
Now show us the lever which you have and say doesn't fit. ................lm

Your bike 102XXXX, Is 1965-1967, I am thinking 1966. Anyway I has a couple of them, one off a 100XXXX and the other off a 102XXXX. They both look the same to me. You are welcome to have one. I live in central WV (not VA).
