Tire Question

Post by choctaw » Sat Jan 02, 2016 3:35 pm

I found these tires on EBAY made by the Fechi Tyre company. the size shows 3.25X 16 they are for a Kayak trailer E-bay search" Yakima rack and roll" I think they would fit the Honda Dream. They dont look bad at all. 51.99 each. comments please.

Tires

I'd be concerned about the load capacity. Smalltires.com has 3.25 x 16" tires for motorcycles. Great company to deal with.

That's a nice find! He is correct on the speed and load rating for a "55P" tire so it would be fine on a Dream. The only other concern might be the age of the tire, but you could ask about that. The Feichi tire website also shows a "F-413" ribbed front tire in 3.25-16 which would be nice on the front but I don't think there's a US supplier. I'd make an offer...

Try http://www.motorcycletiresmaniac.com/Sh ... Tires.html

Buy a pair and shipping is free. Just a few dollars more ($57.03 each) and no worries about the age. I've got these on my Dream, no issues so far.

Second that - and that's a better tread pattern too. 3.25-16 tires seem to come and go by various manufacturers. Whatever is in the containers from overseas I guess. The ribbed front which was the original tread pattern is harder to find. I bought some of the NOS Goodyear ribbed fronts a few years ago from Coker and have been happy with them. I've bought quite a few tires from motorcycletiresmaniac and highly recommend them.
