These look pretty good and don't come up often:

I offered $900
He countered $975
I declined

nos mufflers

I picked up a pair of NOS Dream one piece mufflers on ebay for $550.00. Those deals are few and far between though.

I just missed a set of NOS early ones with the plain inlet. They went for $480....

I just pulled the baffles out of mine - gained at least 1 HP!

More accurately, removing the baffles noticeably increased high-rpm performance in top gear. Now the bike runs much better and faster on the highway. How much faster is hard to say because my speedometer is rusted solid. Perhaps even a 2 HP gain on top end.

Been riding it to work regularly -- too much fun.

NOS mufflers

Post by Frank » Sun Apr 24, 2016 3:21 pm

I just found this post. I am the person who bought these mufflers They are nice. These are the EXACT same mufflers that I won the bid on 2 months earlier on ebay. They were declared lost by the USPS and showed up again on ebay. I bought them again for the 2nd time. I contacted the seller then to see where he got these mufflers, he said that he bought them at the USPS auction that are held twice a month for lost or unclaimed packages in Atlanta Ga. What a experience! BTW I was able to recognize them by comparing the distinctive markings on the original 50 year old boxes.

Frank you got some nice mufflers. If you're after the original look, that's the only way to go! Post a pic if you can.
