Post by choctaw » Thu Dec 03, 2015 12:15 pm

I am wanting to take bearing race off for sand blasting and painting. I cant find a manual of how to do this. I also want to replace the seal any ideas.the bearing race seems to have a few flat spots .Should I replace with new? Mike

Just drive a chisel between the rubber and the bottom of the bearing race to tap it upward.

Work carefully around bit by bit. You will probably replace the bearing if it is pitted plus the rubber seal and steel washer.
