CL 77 center/main stand

Post by team roper » Mon Oct 26, 2015 6:32 pm

Gentlemen, can anyone tell me if the center stands and related hardware are the same on CL 72 and CL77 models, 1964 thru 1967? I am looking for a center stand for my 1967 CL77 and was wondering if they were all the same. Thank you.

George

The early CL72 units measure a little shorter than later units........the '67 production has a small 'knob' on the foot-lever. The style of the 'feet' changed over time but I don't recall exact years.

I have a few of the '67 units in my stash.............do you need the spring, C-clip, or the mounting 'studs'?

Thanks oldscrambler for getting back to me. Yes, I need the stand, c-clip, spring and mounting bolts, nuts etc. I think this is all that is needed for installation but correct me if I'm wrong.
Thanks again,

George
