65 ca77 dream 305all i did is dial up the knob to loosen it than i moved the bike to the side of the garage i came back out to work on the bike and i noticed these small bearing around the front tire.do you think somebody is playing a trick on me?
ca77 dream305 steeringso seadog your telling me there aren't any bearing in the steering shaft anywhere?
Ca77 dream 305 steeringSounds like the headstock/triple tree bearings are falling out.
Put the bike on the stand and try to pull the wheel forward if there's movement and clunking noises that's possibly/probably what it is. Al. Re: ca77 dream305 steeringNo, I'm telling you that the steering damper has no bearings. The steering stem has the ball bearings. Did you loosen the stem nut? You need to look at a parts diagram.
ca77 dream305 streeingHi Alan i'll try that and let you know how it goes.SEADOG thanks for the info. my explantion isn't that great sometimes. do you know if the forum has a diagram of the steering stem.all i did was take off the tighting dial to paint thats it.
