Tail Light Stuck on Bright.
Tail Light Stuck on Bright.Hey everybody,
I've mostly got the CA72 Dream together after an engine and transmission rebuild and a new COAt of paint. I'll post pictures when it's together! I marked all my wiring harness leads before disassembly so that I could just plug and play when putting it back together. I decided to solder and seal all the wires to be safe. My only issue is that my tail light is stuck on bright, or acting like it's "pulled". I tried switching the wires at the tail light brake lever switch, but that didn't make a difference either. Could I have gotten the two wires going to the tail light switched up? It was working for a short while, like had it's normal running light, then I pulled the lever switch down and it went bright like it's supposed to, now it just stays bright. Not sure what the issue is? 1964 CA72

Definitely clean and test it. There isn't much below the switch that's complicated enough to go too wrong. The little arm below the switch is attached with a shouldered bolt, so I don't think it could get rusty enough to lock up, but give it a look too.
Plenty of used switches on ebay. If you want new and don't mind non-stock, you can search for non-Honda replacement, like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Emgo-Rear-Stop- ... 59&vxp=mtr Cheap at $9.95 with free shipping.
stickey brake switchi had the same problem with mine as the guys are saying i gave mine a good cleaning and it works fine.
