Thanks for the comments.
Today I got the wire loop jig made and welded a pair to the first brace.
We powder coated with a chrome powder. When it came out of the oven it was absolutely gorgeous with a mirror finish However this product is not durable so you have to clear coat over it for protection. When we got the second coat out of the oven it now has a metallic look almost like wheel silver. Not near as smooth and mirror like. It would be acceptable to me as is for a rider but I think there probably is another coat/sealer that will protect and retain the mirror finish.

G, I'm not sure how we will market the fenders (mud guards) .
We're still working out the tooling, finishes and what not. I'll probably sell the fender, without the stay , trimmed but undrilled. Our fender will come with all of the stays. We rolled a couple from 22 ga steel this morning with the edge turned but not wired. They look nice so I think this is what we will go with. The wiring operation opens up a new can of worms.

That looks fabulous. I've never really compared a CB section with the CL but that could spread your tooling cost. 18" vs 19" but that looks well within your capabilities.

It's tempting to get another CL72, just so that I could use one of those. :-)

We have a completed fender assembly.
Chrome Powder with clear lacquer topcoat on the stay.
Wheel silver ( off color slightly) on the fender.
These first five are pretty much one off builds without fixtures for drilling and welding so they may need a little adjustment (tweeking) when they are mounted to the bike .
They're a pretty close representation of the original but not 100%.
My goal is not to produce an exact copy at a exorbitant price, but rather an affordable fender for the bike that is ridden.
As soon as we're back from Barber I'm going to start on the stay for the Aluminum fork. I hope to be able to build those from Stainless and avoid the P/C or Chrome.
