1963 Honda Dream 305

Post by gearhead3275 » Sun Sep 20, 2015 7:56 pm

I have aquired a 1963 Dream 305 and currently rebuilding it. Does the 1963 have blinkers? I received a box of parts when I picked the 63 up and have a complete set of front and rear blinkers that are in near perfect shape. When I look the bike up none of the have blinkers.

Any help on this would be gratefully accepted...thanks

I don't think any of the CA models had blinkers as standard, but the 'rest of the world' C models did. For some reason it was thought that Americans did not need direction indicators.

You may have to drill your handlebadrs to fit the front blinkers but the rears should be prettu straightforward.

Is your kit a Honda set or an aftermarket one?

Here is my 1962 C72 with pressed-steel handlebars. The font blinkers are part of the lever perches.

G-Man,

I'm very new to the Honda Dream rebuild world. How do I check to see if they are aftermarket or original Honda. I will try to forward pictures.

Thanks for replying.

Gearhead

This is part of a genuine Honda set for a bike with tubular handlebars. The switch is part of the throttle housing and the front blinkers fit to the handlebars. The blinkers have an aluminum bracket / housing. You can get plastic reproductions from Asia.

Make them smaller than 500k bytes by resizing them.....
