A couple of questions...
A couple of questions...I have two cb77's :the untouched original needs the air filter elements replaced - the rh element has two steel tubes[ nipples] in the front, one is 7mm dia, the other 6mm dia., about 3/4" apart. The lh element has only one 7mm steel tube. I know the 7mm tubes are connected to the nipples on the back if the cylinder block to aid in the intake valve guide lubrication. What is the 6mm dia steel tube for in the rh element housing? Both of these air cleaner elements appear to be originals. My second cb77 has fairly new looking elements, with not near as many pleats, and each has only one steel tube [nipple] on the front of the housings. They don't seem to have as good a quality as the originals.
Who sells good replacement air filter elements, and what should I expect to pay? BTW, I also need the rubber tubes between the elements and the carbs. My second question: I need to replace the drive chains/sprockets on both bikes. Both are 15/30 T. Recommendations for sources? Thanks, Dick Edit: I need a decent chain guard too.

Check the sticky on the CB forum, it has a list of good sources. I got sprockets from Ohio Cycle, HD chains from eBay venders. Air cleaners and tubes are available from a couple of sources listed. I compare between dealers because sometimes there is a substantial price difference, and shipping costs can make a difference as well.

Re: A couple of questions...The vent tubes on the back of the cylinder use a Y fitting and attach to only one air filter fitting, which I believe is the lower right. The CB72 carbs came with power jets that were connected to the air filters with a hose, each carb had a line running to their respective air filter. For the CB77 carbs you simply cap off those extra tubes on the filters for the power jets. HT
