C77 starter motor revolution speed

Post by roadcapDen » Mon Jul 27, 2015 2:57 pm

Hi Kids, just back after a few years, got a 1965 Dream basket case. Was wondering about the starter motor revolution speed, mine seems real slow, maybe 1 second for the gear to turn a revolution? That normal? soaking the 4 screws to check the brushes, siezed.
Thanks All.

I am working on a '67 Dream and the sprocket on the starter spins at quite a speed! Maybe 200 RPM.
