K/S Bush ?K/S Bush ?I always seem to have problem with the Honda parts numbers I have purchased a bush of David Silver UK https://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/CB7 ... rt_230849/ Will this fit my 1964 CB77 engine number CB77E 102472 .
This David Silver bush starts from engine number CB77E 1043041 that's 7 digets mine has 6 what year is that 7 digit number ? For such a company as Honda for me they had a bad engine numbering and parts book system not easy trying to understand them. EDIT Just had a reply from my email I sent to David Silver and they do not know what year the bush fits they say it will not fit my bike DID Honda make different low gear bushs then, please can some one confirm this as I have my order on hold. Thanks. R100
That's all there is. The numbers just run on in sequence after the beginning of 7-digit numbers. e3Steve and others have mapped users frame number on to year of manufacture but there's nothing official that I know of. G '60 C77 '60 C72 '62 C72 Dream '63 CL72

I purchased a new bush from here http://www.classichondarestoration.com/ ... od_66.html now this bush has done only say 300 miles and seems to me warn I have a original bush looks like it was made of bronze the repro one looks like copper. I have installed a new kick start spindle and the repro bush when the spindle is rotated in neutral the low gear just wobbles is this how it should do. Mike
The bush should be made of bronze but there are different types of bronze ranging from almost a yellow (brass-like) to to a copper-colour. It should be a good running fit on tha shaft and in the gear so it shouldn't wobble. This a 1961 type bush bead blasted and ultrasonically cleaned. This is the 1961 type and a NOS genuine Honda bush for later engines G '60 C77 '60 C72 '62 C72 Dream '63 CL72
