Stolen Bike
Stolen BikeHey Folks,
My 305 was stolen. Took it in to a local shop for some work last fall. Unbeknownst to me, they filed for bankruptcy a month later. I was able to track down the owner of the shop. He told me he had sold it as abandoned property. I reported it to the cops who did nothing. I am filing a lawsuit. It's not the money, it's the principal of the damn thing. The guys name is Steve Pedigo and the shop was Lombard Motorsports in Villa Park, IL. If anyone knows him, punch him for me (just joking). If anyone come across my bike, vin # 015963 and Illinois plate number MCYB3184 please report it. Thanks Matt
I can't think of a slimier thing to do. I hope bad things come that guy's way.
Don't get me wrong, keeping a cycle shop running is tough. Especially during hard winters in the midwest when people aren't riding. But to sell out the inventory that isn't even YOUR inventory is just despicable. 1964 CA72

Usually there are specific laws that dealers and repair shops have to follow to avoid what has happened to you. There may be a criminal charge in this guys future. Please don't just let this go. At least make a few phone calls.
