water in right side case

Post by Woodsie » Tue May 19, 2015 6:25 pm

I think some water went through the hole in the right hand side engine case where the breather from the top of the engine goes through. It is a 305 ca77. I am wondering if I have to remove the right side cover to determine this. I don't think I am seeing the bottom of the case when looking in the inspection hole after removing the rubber plug.

If enough water got into the right side case, it would just leak out. A lot of 305 owners have problems with oil leaking from there. There is no gasket, plus there is a drain hole cast into the bottom to direct any fluids away.
