camshaft assembly

Post by mcaleerj » Fri May 08, 2015 3:01 pm

just restored '67 CL77. Right cylinder not running though good spark, rebuilt carbs.(fuel delivery verified) Is it possible to assemble the right and left camshafts in a 180 degree fashion? Can't remember if I took them apart. Seems like the right cyl not sucking in fuel ,cam timing? thankful for any advice.

Pull out the plugs, remove the tappet inspection covers and rotate the engine to see if everyting is doing what it should on the correct stroke.

The groves will not allow you to install the cams in the sprocket wrong but quite easy to install the cam/sprocket assembly a tooth or so out.
