Battery box fender mount broken

Post by gac123 » Wed Sep 26, 2007 8:28 pm

When disassembliing my superhawk I discovered that the rear fender bracket part of the battery box has broken off. Does anyone have any tips on repair? It's completely broken off. I donb't lnow how you could hold at at an approximate angle while welding it back with a patch.

gac,

There are a few ways I can think of. ..............

They make magnets that can be used to hold two pieces together, go to the welding section of any large home store and you would be surprised with the various amount of welding clamps available. Or you can do what I would do and put on a pair of leather welding gloves and hold it in place and weld. Just don't become the ground!!!!!!

Failing these suggestions, take the frame to a welding shop and have them weld it back on. Good luck!
