The SLS front brake lasted to Chassis number 11548, so yours should have one. I have a genuine seat for mine but it needs work.



Yes - I'm not convinced that Honda were any better organised than any other manufacturer when it came to using parts. I have two early style front fenders but neither is alloy. One had a numberplate on it which I could date to October 1961.

I think it's amazing that we have unearthed three 1961 CB72s that were probably made on the same day and arrived in England on the same shipment, all painted blue. They will have to be reunited one day...

Since my bike spent all it's life on the track it's logical that the brake would have been replaced as a matter of priority.
It would be great to see them all together one day.

Would you be interested in selling the seat brackets, that would save me a lot of work

Today I've been trying to check the alignement of the frame, because when it was damaged as long as we got the wheels back in line other mounting point did not matter.
Would it be possible for either you or George to check the dimentions shown on the frame.

Its a good job I didn't have access to a spare frame at the time as mine would have been chucked.

Here we are....









The final measurement is from the front edge of the rear slot to the centre of the pin. You need to add 4-5mm to get the centre distance.

Thanks G-Man mine are not too far off at present, just the right tube is a bit twisted as you can see from the rods I fitted.
