Unless you have one of the chains with the small hole that it's difficult to find a ML for you can remove a link and add the ML.(HONDA SIZE)
I do it with all the engines I rebuild.
I also have the small hole ML. ....................lm

I need to buy a cam chain for my CA72 and most of the ones I can find are endless.

Can you break a link and install a master link with a clip? I've got a few of those left over. I don't want to accidentally cut off more than I need though.

Like essentially removing one link from the endless chain and putting in a master link/8 shaped piece/clip?

David Silver offers a continuous 'genuine part' and a master link. They tell me that you must break the chain (obviously) and that the master link will fit.

Thanks guys, I ordered one from my local shop, popped a link with a chain breaker and installed an extra clip master link I had lying around. Worked great!

When you say 'local shop' does that mean your Honda dealer? I have asked for parts multiple times but have yet to find one still in the catalogue.

Yup, Tim!

I live in Nebraska, USA and there's a motorcycle shop that has an interesting folklore around it. Supposedly, it's the first Honda dealership in the nation, or at least the oldest.

The owner is still alive and it's totally family run at this point, but there's stories of people who have seen his collection and he's got CB77's still in crates from the factory on top of other legendary motorcycles that can be seen if you peak through his dusty windows at the warehouse.

Their business is great, I've picked up so many odds and ends that were just gathering dust on a back shelf. They've never let me down for vintage Honda parts.

That sounds like the Place! Does it have a name, and do they do mail order/internet sales? I need one of those chains too.
Crated CB77s! That would seem to a real draw to all the collectors out there

aero, I don't know if they have an internet sales department specifically for the odds and ends, they do have a website though. I've called and just asked what they've got, they're always really helpful.

It's called G.I. Kart and Cycle. Located in Grand Island, NE.
