What anyone else does is up to them .I thought this forum was about the free exchange of ideas ..the problem for the reader is to decide which ideas are good and which are not .[/quote]
If you believe this than allow others to practice it!. ........lm

OK...The exchange of free ideas? Here's one (lest we get our track pants in a wad);
I now pronounce this thread FINISHED. And I think that's a good, free idea to exchange.
Thanks to all who participated. (*whew*)

Hi Ed; thanks for asking; doing good, bike is running great after installing new Probe ignition as you suggested years ago.

That's a good thing to add for sure.
Do you feel the difference in power?
Now you are in the Change Oil and Adjust Chains and no more Set Points. ..............lm

Maybe a little more power, but noticeably much smoother and easier to start. Never could get points to stay where I put them. I'd come back 100 miles later and it's be advanced on one side, retarded on other.

I'll continue to check valve clearances with annual oil changes (to get back on topic?) even if I've only put a couple of hundred miles...the relatively clean oil that comes out provides about a year's supply of chain saw bar lube.
