CYB pipes too loud?CYB pipes too loud?Hey guys I came across a fella who was considering selling his NOS set of CYB pipes. I have heard that they came be pretty obnoxious in sound as well as price! LOL. Anyways how loud can they really be? I usually ride around with older Harleys so if they sound less than those then I can handle it! HA

cyb pipesYes, they can be embarassingly loud! but I've gotten over it and since the pipes are behind me- no problem.
I did have a surprise audio assault on a particular ride and only realized it the second time that I was there. It was a down hill, 65mph right hand bend towards a tall rock hill and I heard a sharp LOUD noise! On the next ride to the same place it happened again and realized the noise was the echo of my exhaust at 6500 rpm! Another peculiar thing- when idling at 13/1400 rpm they actually ring like a brass bell from the exhaust concussion, luckily I live in N.J. where there is no motorcycle inspection and both cops lawyers ride Harleys w/ sraight pipes.
