Handlebar options

I have 67 Dream that I recently bought. It came with motocross type handlebars. What is a good source for original or aftermarket handlebars? I might be interested in some that are a little lower... Any advice is appreciated.

The original handlebars have slots to take the wiring and the throttle mechanism. Originals come up on eBay occasionally but if you are handy you can use almost anything and cut those slots yourself.

I have seen Dreams with CB72-style flat handlebars but you could use something from a range of small Hondas.

I have a Benly C92 and the bars are the same as the Dream . Slot is included.

............almost the 'same'..........slightly narrower.......and slightly different bend........ but will work.

Hmmm. I will have to double check that this evening. Unless one has the incorrect one fitted. I seem to recall putting the two sets next to each other.

Is there a thread somewhere (sure there is) with tips on install new low bar and running the wires internally? I don't want to take the controls further apart than necessary since I know they're tough to put back together sometimes.

Yes - there must be. Either use the search here or do a Google search and use "Honda 305 forum" in the search line and it helps find stuff on this site....
