Wiring question

Post by R100 » Fri Sep 26, 2014 2:35 pm

Looking at the wiring diagram and the picture of the ignition switch matrix.
There is a red terminal on the rectifier. Its red/white wire goes to the CH terminal on the ignition switch.
According to the switch matrix it is never engaged by any switch position.
Can anyone explain this to me as I'm not an electrical genius by any means.
(P.S. I think the ignition switch on this bike is for a CB350.)

The CH terminal on CB switches isn't connected internally. It is a connection post to which the red output wire from the rectifier and the red / white wire going to the battery should both be connected. Hope this helps.

PS. Beware some wiring diagrams including the Clymer manual show this incorrectly. The wiring diagram in the Bill Silver guide is correct.
