lube points.....

Post by Foose » Fri Aug 17, 2007 11:56 am

hey everyone...i just got a ca77 ive been pining over for something like two years. it feels like ive attained the holy grail. ive got the old beast running smoothly, and mechanically its strong. to aid me in restoring it to its original lustre i purchased the clymer manual :"vintage japanese street bikes", which also covers two kawi's, but the book sort of lacks the features which made me want to choose it. i need to know what type of grease to hit the grease points with, as well as iformation regarding the oil filter, or lack thereof. there are grease points mid-line on the cables for the front brake and clutch, do i use the same grease on them as i do for the kick starter and the trans? anyhow, i wouldnt reccommend the clymer book, it covers too many models such as the cl77 scrambler and others, and doesnt spend more than ten pages on the dream.

Ya can find parts books on eBay or as most of us know the best data is in Bill Silvers DVD that covers all the DREAM type bikes of the 60's.
Not expensive for what ya get. .................lm
