Where are these fittings supposed to go??Where are these fittings supposed to go??Where am I supposed to run the lines that attach to these fittings? The bike was a barn find with a lot of missing parts so I never knew where these were supposed to go. First image is of the fitting off the top of the cylinder head bracket. Second image is the fitting on the carb mount.
I think the top one was supposed to route back into the airbox? It spews a lot of oil though so I'm not positive. Could someone tell me what the function of each is? Thanks, Dave
It shouldn't spew oil. If you have put the motor back together it is possible you have put the aluminium plate in backwards that acts as a dampener to the breather. It sits on top of the head and has a gasket either side , below the top head cover. There is a slot in one side that channels the top end gases through a labyrinth before exiting the breather tube. If in backwards the oil does not get separated through the extended path. There is a small arrow marked on the plate directing the front.
The tube runs down and exits behind the engine. the smaller breather on the carburetor spacer connects to the air filter I believe.
Does the aluminum plate reference you brought up exist on the CA95 as well? I bought a NOS Honda top end gasket set for the bike and it didn't come with this part. It only came with a single gasket for that top plate. After looking at the schematics I think I see what you're talking about. The kit came with #8. I assume what you're talking about is #10 or 11? It looks like one is aluminum and the other is another gasket to go on the opposite side as the gasket that's already on there.
