In most states you can not register a bike without the title so unless you are selling as a parts bike only, why would anyone buy a bike without one? If yours is road worthy, then you would do yourself a favor by adding a title to it to sweeten the deal. I would not pay much for one without a title, JMHO, Rusty

In New York any car/bike made before 1974 will have a transfer on the back of the registration. No title. I actually had a West Virginia title that I had to turn in to register my Dream in New York. Not sure how other states work.

lots of states didn't even have titles back in the 60's. I'd be WY is one of them. Check with your DMV.

If you can get a title get it. For all you know the bike may be stolen. It really sucks to sell a bike and then find out it was hot or had an old lean on it. I buy and sell a few bikes and won't touch one without a title. Some states want back tax's on stuff and it can all add up fast.
