i knew someone would come up with the figures, i had an idea that they were around 15ftlb for the 14mm nuts and around 8ftlbs for the smaller nuts. PhilD i know the brimstage bends well use to blast along that stretch myself on my CB72/77 in the late 60's early 70's, still do today on my CBR1100XX when i get down that way on the way to the Tap. Dave Any kind of lube on the threads will increase the bolt tension (about 20%) for the same torque, so you need to reduce the torque to get the same clamping force....
